William S. “Scott” Simpson

William S. “Scott” Simpson, 51, of Pierron, IL, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his residence.

Scott was born June 13, 1960, to William C. and Madeline (nee Lewis) Simpson, in the hospital in Beardstown, IL.

Scott was a mechanic working on torque converters.  He was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor.  He followed NASCAR, St. Louis Blues Hockey, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and Chicago Bears Football.  He loved to fish at Carlyle Lake.

He is survived by his parents, William and Madeline Simpson; his companion, Cathy Berneking; 2 sons, Joshua (Monica) Berneking, Michael (Beth) Berneking; 1 granddaughter, Briauna Berneking; 1 brother, Mark Simpson; several aunts and uncles.

Following Scott’s wishes, his body was cremated.

There are no public services.
