William “Bill” Ford

William "Bill" Ford, Col., USAF, Ret'd, 78, of Lebanon, IL died October 31, 2008 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.    He was born in Dawson springs, KY on March 6, 1930 to William Bedford and Flora (Lanham) Ford, and they are both deceased.   He married Betty H. Hartley on July 21, 1953 in Springfield, Tennessee, and she survives.

Also survived by three children - Scott S. (Deborah) Ford, Wellington, FL; Bryce L. (Donna) Ford, Bethesda, MD; Heather H. (Scott) Abner, Lebanon, IL.

Also preceded in death by one brother, Norman Ford.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force retiring after 28 years.

A Member of first United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL;  Lions club;  St. Louis Soaring Assn.; and Chairman of Lebanon Planning Commission.

VISITATION:  Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at the Meyer Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

FUNERAL:  Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL with Rev. Joy Caschetta, Pastor officiating and assisted by Rev. Kent King-Nobles, former pastor.

Burial:  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO with full Military honors.
