William A. Recklein, Jr.

William August Recklein Jr, of Troy, IL, born January 18, 1929 to William Sr and Lucille (nee Gerlitz) Recklein in East St. Louis, IL was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald and a sister, Darlene.

Affectionately known as "Sam” or "Bill”, Sam married his wife Mary (nee Davis) on March 18, 1950. Mary, along with their daughters and grandchildren, remain to carry on his legacy. Daughters, Linda (Jim) Hopkins, Brenda (Loren) Barton, and Lori (Leroy) Fix. Grandchildren, Timothy, Joy,Tiffany & Shawn Graves, Brian Courtney, Erika and Michael (Amanda) Barton, Elisha Fix. Great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kiley, Elissa, Grayson and Magdalena.

Open visitation for family and friends will be 4-6 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Crossview Assembly Church, Rt. 50, O'Fallon, IL with a 6:00 pm Memorial Service officiated by the Reverends Kent Wilson and Edmund Schmulbach.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the church.
