Wayne E. Lanham

Wayne E. Lanham, 82, of Highland, IL, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at his residence.

Wayne was born August 24, 1931, to Irvine and Ethel (Nee Cox) Lanham, in Boulder, IL.  On June 5, 1954, he married Maxine Curry in Coulterville, IL.

Wayne was a member of Carlyle Masons, Eastern Star – Marine and Trenton, Laborers Local 42 for 38 years.  He was a worker, working 2 full-time jobs for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lanham; his children, Laura (Doug) Hixson, James W. (Debbie) Lanham, Cindy Terrill, Steven (Leann) Lanham; 9 grandchildren, Jonathon (Nichole) Hixson, Garren Hixson, Todd Lanham, Melanie Lanham, Kelly Terrill, David Terrill, Steven Lanham, Jordan Lanham, Crystal Lanham; 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter Wayne Hixson and Hadley Hixson; 3 sisters, Lucy (Butch) Hammel, Darlene Bast, Ruth (Chuck) Tull; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvine and Ethel Lanham; 1 daughter at birth.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital or Marine United Church of Christ.

Visitation: Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL, and Friday, August 1, 2014, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Marine United Church of Christ, Marine, IL

Interment: Coulterville Cemetery, Coulterville, IL
