Warren C. “Pid” Gaston, 100, died Friday, November 19, 2021, at Meadow Brook Nursing Home, Grayville, IL.
Pid was born February 11, 1921, to Ike and Janie (Jackson) Gaston, in Effingham, IL. In July 1945 he married Lucy Marie Shull, in Dietrich, IL.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Albion, IL as well as Edwards County Sportsman’s Club. He like to hunt Quail and Coon. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ike and Janie Gaston; wife, Marie Gaston; 2 children in infancy; 8 brothers; 1 sister.
Pid is survived by several nieces and nephew.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL.
