Wanda F. Gregory

Wanda F. Gregory, 75, of Highland, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

She was born on July 10, 1950, in Gideon, MO, to William and Mary (nee Terry) James. On March 31, 1972, she married Jerry Gregory in Granite City, IL.

Wanda has lived in Highland since 1974, moving from Granite City, IL. She worked as a Machine Operator for B-Line in Highland for 33 years, then worked for First Student as a Bus Monitor. Wanda liked volunteering at the Metro East Humane Society in Highland and was a member of the American Legion Post #439. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, baking, and feeding the squirrels and birds. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Wanda will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary James; husband, Jerry Gregory; daughter, Michele Miller; brother, Bill James; and multiple in-laws.

Wanda is survived by her children, Bill (Krista) Wilkinson, Sonia (Geoff) Kirk, Jerry Taylor, and Mike Gregory; former daughter-in-law, Karie Schuck; grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, Caleb, Alisha, Ashley, and Zachary; great grandchild, James; sisters, Sherry (nee James) McCollom and Kim (nee James) Hayes; multiple nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Metro East Humane Society - Highland or the American Legion Post #439.
