Vincent Deiters

Vincent Deiters, 71, of Pocahontas, IL, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was born May 19, 1939 to Herman and Catherine Deiters, in Breese, IL.  On August 12, 1961 he married Mary Ann Warneke at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Vincent was a Brick Layer, owning his own business, V & G Contracting, for 27 years.  He was a member of the Brick Layers Union.  He enjoyed fishing, monopoly, and rolling dice with his grandchildren.  He was a NASCAR fan.  He always looked forward to Sunday afternoons with his family watching football and playing cards.

He is survived by: 5 Children, Kim Simmonds, Pocahontas, IL, Janice (Randy) McFarland, Pocahontas, IL, Craig Deiters, Albers, IL, Lance (fiancée Cathy Meskil) Deiters, Clemmons, NC, Danny (Angela) Deiters, Greenville, IL; 12 Grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Curtis, and Gena Timmermann, Kristy Rench, Blake McFarland, Chelsea Deiters, Bret Frank, Tiffany Schrage, Elle Jae Deiters, Brendan Schauwecker, Chase Deiters; 1 Brother, Edward (Jeanie) Deiters; 2 Sisters, Catherine Schrage, Agnes (Paul) Hilmes; Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death: His Parents, Herman and Catherine Deiters; His wife, Mary Ann Deiters; 3 Brothers, Victor Deiters, Herman Deiters, Raymond Deiters; 3 Sisters, Regina Steinmann, Dorothy Wilken, Marie Buehler.

Visitation: Monday, January 24, 2011, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
