Tammy L. Bernel, 61, of Germantown, IL, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born on December 30, 1964, to Warren and Nora (nee Fennessey) Turner.
Tammy will be remembered for the joy and light she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was always happy, with a warm smile that never seemed to fade, and she had a special gift for uplifting those around her. Her kindness, positivity, and loving spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Tammy had a deep love for her beloved dogs, Chico and Chica, who brought her endless companionship and happiness. Above all else, however, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. A devoted and caring family member, Tammy's love knew no bounds, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Nora Turner, son-in-law, Adam Poettker.
Tammy is survived by her children, Eric (Jennifer) Guffey, Danny (Briana) Guffey, Jamarea Turner, Matthew Turner, Jeanna (Marcos) Ramirez, Stephanie Poettker; grandchildren, Cody, Gavin, Cheyenne, Madison, Devon, Danny Jr., Khloe, Emmalynn, Rayna, Tristin, Wren, Hayley, Trevor, Briant, Christopher “Pher Pher”, Peyton, Gage, Joseph, Alisa, Isabella, Aliyah “Lee Lee”, Matteo, Zara; great-grandchildren, Asher, Elijah; siblings, Gail, Leslie, Tracie, Paula, Debbie, Brenda, Sherry, Carla, Eddy.
Celebration of Life: Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the VFW in Caseyville, IL.
