Steven A. Headley

Steven Andrew Headley, 76, of West Salem, IL passed away into the arms of Jesus at his home on Thursday, April 16, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Steve was born on May 21, 1949 in Bennington, IL to Bill and Dorothy Headley. He was a lifelong pipefitter out of Local 653 in Centralia, IL. He spent his career working across the United States. Steve was a member of Three Crosses Church in Bone Gap, IL. He was married to Janice Talley on October 24, 1970 at the Marion Christian Church in rural West Salem, IL. Together they had two daughters, Leslie Gill of Mt. Erie, IL and Lindsey Yealick of West Salem, IL.

Steven is survived by his wife Janice, his daughters Leslie (Nathan) Gill, Lindsey (Mike) Yealick, and his pride and joy, grandchildren Bayli (Remington) Harrison and George Riley Gill (Abigail Biggs). He is also survived by his faithful fur baby, Ted.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Billy and David.

Visitation for Steven Headley will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in West Salem, IL. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in West Salem, IL. Burial will follow at Marion Christian Church Cemetery in rural West Salem, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valerie Weidner to help with medical expenses being incurred due to cancer treatments. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
