Sharon A. Pohl

Sharon A. Pohl, 75, of Highland, IL, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at St. Paul Senior Community in Belleville, IL.

She was born November 24, 1945, to Louis and Evelyn Mae (nee Sanders) Schmitt, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL. On October 7, 1967, she married Dennis Pohl at Marine United Church of Christ, Marine, IL.

Sharon never knew a stranger. She loved playing BINGO, enjoyed going to garage sales, and liked to clean. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis R. Pohl, Highland, IL; sons, Daniel A. (Jamie) Pohl, Highland, IL and Donald J. (Tricia) Pohl, St.  Louis, MO; grandchildren, Brian Pohl, Dyersburg, TN, Michael Pohl, Highland, IL, Dylan Pohl, Highland, IL; great-grandchild, Lilly Pohl, Highland, IL; sister, Mary M. (John) Bauman, Highland, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis A. and Evelyn M. Schmitt; brothers, Virgil J. Schmitt, and John L. Schmitt.
