Ruby Irene Milner

Ruby Irene Milner, 103, of Johnsonville, IL passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at her home.

Ruby was born September 9, 1918, at Orchardville, IL to Charles and Nettie (Holleman) Greathouse.  She married Johnie H. Milner December 17, 1935, at Fairfield, IL.  He preceded her in death December 8, 1993.

Ruby was a farmer’s wife and enjoyed crafts and quilting.  She was a member of the Arrington Prairie General Baptist Church of Wayne City, IL, and a member of Wayne County Home Extension for over fifty years.

Ruby is survived by a daughter Jeanette Simonin of Albion, IL; two sons Donnie (Janice) Milner and Larry (Lucy) Milner both of Johnsonville, IL; fourteen grandchildren and four step grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Johnie Milner, one son Ronnie Milner, one son-in-law William Edward Simonin, one grandson Jody Simonin, one grandson-in-law Robert Tennyson and two sisters Opal Shehorn and Eunice Sharrar.

Visitation: 5:00pm -7:00pm Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10:30am Friday, July 15, 2022, at the funeral home.

Burial: Bailey Cemetery near Wayne City, Illinois

Memorials: Arrington Prairie General Baptist Church or Bailey Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
