Rose L. White

Rose L. White, 78, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL surrounded by her family.

Rose was born September 5, 1938 to Perry and Dorothy (nee Jordan) Bowles in Decatur, IL. On December 7, 1958 she married Claude White in Mt Zion, IL.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, Pocahontas. She loved ballroom dancing with her husband and was an Eastern Star 50 year member. She liked to work in the garden with her flowers, read, swim and do word search puzzles. Rose loved her family, especially her grandchildren and she enjoyed attending Church.

She is survived by her children, Chris (Allen) Schindewolf, Pontoon Beach, IL, Rich (Sherri) White, Highland, IL; grandchildren, Kara (Brandon) Morgan, Brad Schindewolf, Jeramy (partner, Shane Overton) White, Alanna White, Jacob White; great-grandchild Alex; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Bowles, Decatur, IL; sister, Sue (Bill) Gillen, Decatur, IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Dorothy Bowles; husband, Claude White.

Visitation: Monday, January 23, 2017, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas and Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00am at United Methodist Church, Pocahontas, IL
