Robert Lee Dascotte Sr.

Robert Lee Dascotte Sr., best known as Bob, passed away on August 3 ^rd , 2022. Bob is survived by his wife Tami, his son Robby, daughters Brandee and Amber, his brother Tom, and sisters Melinda and Sharon. He is preceded in death by his brother Steve. Bob’s greatest joys, his grandkids, are Tanner, Morgan, Megan, Shelby, Carter, Mackenzie, and Carlie.

Bob was a man born a century after his time. He often immersed himself in his beloved hobbies, like going hunting, fishing, and working on guns to the tune of classic country music. He loved being in nature and spending time with friends, family, and his spoiled Shih Tzu, Mylee.

At the age of 16, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Tami, and made a living working on diesel engines; he could break one down and put it back together with his eyes closed. He cherished his time spent at “Campo,” a quiet piece of land he acquired and camped at with family and friends. Campo was his happy place where he would go on hunting excursions, or to unwind and spend quality time with those close to him.

Bob’s desire to move back to Illinois was realized after he retired in 2011 and moved to Albion, Illinois. He immediately befriended Fred, owner of Whistle Stop Gun Shop, and helped him by sharing his endless knowledge of gunsmithing.

Bob would want everyone to remember all of the good times, and take comfort in those joyful memories. He would ask that we look out for the love of his life, Tami, and check in on her from time to time.

Bob will forever remain in our happy memories and keep a special place in our hearts. He believed in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection, and we look forward to the time when we will be reunited with him in Paradise.
