Robert E. Jarvis

Robert E. Jarvis, 63, of Summerfield, IL, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at his residence, surrounded by his family.  He was born October 2, 1946, to Bobby and  Zella (Nee Barton) Jarvis, in Ludwig, MO.  On May 7, 1990, he married Debra Nye in Belleville, IL.

Robert served in the Army, and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam war.  He was a truck driver retiring in 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Jarvis, Summerfield, IL; 4 children, Vicky (Bill) Rutherford, Gatesville, TX, Darrel (Lana) Jarvis, Rolla, MO, Bridget (John) Carroll, Fredricktown, MO, Rodney Linkey, Nashville, IL; 21 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 5 brothers, Paul Jarvis, Kenny Rossi, Charles Rossi, Terry Rossi, Mike Rossi, all of St. Louis, MO; 1 sister, Debbie (Dana) Sharp, Evansville, IN.

He was pre-ceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Zella Jarvis.

Visitation:  Tuesday, August 10, 2010, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, and from 8:00 a.m. to time of service on Wednesday August 11, 2010.

Funeral:  Wednesday, August 11, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Meyer Funeral Home.

Clergy:  Rev. Rick Bates, Fredericktown, MO.

Burial:  Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, IL.
