Robert “Bob” Eugene Dagg, 70, of Orchardville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, Illinois.

Bob was born May 2, 1951, to Vern and Georgia Ann (Kingston) Dagg at Orchardville, Illinois. Bob married Chris Burgess on June 23, 1973, at Brush Creek Church and she survives.

Bob retired from CSX Railroad after twenty-nine years. He was an auctioneer for fifty-two years and owner of Dagg’s Auction Service. He enjoyed auctioneering and going to all the local auctions. Bob’s favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren while passing down his ‘favorite” habits good or bad. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Bob was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #130 in Salem, Illinois.

Bob is survived by his wife Chris Dagg of Orchardville, Illinois; one daughter Lacey Dagg of Zenith, Illinois; three sons Wayde (Carrie) Dagg of Cisne, Illinois, Kyle (Natalie) Dagg of Fairfield, Illinois and Tyler (Brandi) Dagg of Cisne, Illinois; three brothers Leland Dagg of Louisiana, Bill (Connie) Dagg of Wayne City, Illinois and Dale Dagg of Centralia, Illinois; twelve grandchildren Kobi, Karley, Luke, Konnor, Valorie, Kayden, Zach, Kloyee, Keller, Kordale, Lilly and Drew Dagg, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Delano Dagg, sisters Mary Lowry, Sena Daulton, Judy Roach and Doris Johnson.

Visitation:  4:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday, February 6, 2022.  Masonic Rites at 5:30 pm

Funeral: 10:00 am Monday, February 7, 2022, at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home

Burial: Jacobs Chapel Cemetery at Orchardville, Illinois.

Memorials: Donor’s Choice and will be accepted at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.
