Robert A. Meadows, Jr., 46, Pocahontas, IL, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

He was born September 10, 1977, to Robert “Alvin” and Linda (Nee Smith) Meadows, Sr., in Belleville, IL. On July 3, 2002 he married Tabitha Molter in Greenville, IL.

Robert was a kind, selfless man. A huge family man, always caring for his family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking man, he loved dirt track racing and owned race cars. Robert loved cars, he knew all about them, how to fix them, how to drive them, he would help anyone work on their car anytime he could. He loved all of his dogs and he loved to find the hole-in-the-wall restaurants to share a meal with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mathernal grandparents, AC and Lillie Smith; paternal grandparents, Charles and Robbie Blackwell; mother-in-law, Drema K. Lowe.

Robert is survived by his wife, Tabitha Meadows, Pocahontas, IL; children, Jordan (fiancé, Pyper Mitchell) Meadows, Pocahontas, IL, Brennan (fiancé, Jessica Holcomb) Meadows, Pocahontas, IL; parents, Alvin and Linda Meadows, Pocahontas, IL; sister, Amanda (Duane) Gaffner, Greenville, IL; grandchildren, Braxtan and Bennett; nephews, Ashton (significant other, Timery Moore) Gaffner, Gunner Gaffner; in-laws, Charles Lowe, Christopher Green, Alex Molter; nieces, Melissa Green, Navaranna Green, Grace Green, Elizabeth Green.

Visitation: Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Funeral: Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Clergy: Ward Sussenbach, Pastor, Mt. Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Interment: Robinson Cemetery.
