Richard E. Becker

Richard E. Becker, 71, of Highland, IL, died Monday, September 20, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

He was born February 19, 1939, to Fremont & Katie (Nee Bergdolt) Becker, in Highland, IL.  On May 22, 1970, he married Judy Lampe, in Marydale, IL.

Richard was a lifelong farmer and avid outdoor enthusiast.  He was a member of the Illinois State Archaeological Society and the farm bureau.

He is survived by his Wife, Judy Becker; 2 Sons, Bryan (Becky) Becker, Edwardsville, IL, Mark (Maryann) Becker, Highland, IL; 2 Grandchildren, Joshua and Devin Becker; 2 Sisters, Rose Segelken, Louise (Elmer) Emig, Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fremont & Katie Becker.

Visitation: Thursday, September 23, 2010, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Funeral: Friday, September 24, 2010, 10:00 a.m., Meridith Funeral Home.
