Paul E. Hogg

Paul E. Hogg, 86, of Belleville, IL, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, IL.

Paul was born March 2, 1924 to Andrew and Mary (nee Schaeffer) Hogg, in Mascoutah Township, New Baden, IL.

Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII, in the Pacific Theatre.  He retired from Dow Chemical in 1989 after approximately 30 years of service.  He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Knights of Columbus Council 1712, Collinsville, IL, and had volunteered many years at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, IL.

Paul is survived by 3 brothers, Frances “Frank” (Florence) Hogg, Aviston, IL, Vincent (Mary) Hogg, Lebanon, IL, Larry (Joann) Hogg, Belleville, IL; Numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Schaeffer; 4 brothers, Anthony, Alois, Stephen, Andy Hogg; 1 sister, Dorothy Harris.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, February 28, 2011 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church.
