Patricia J. "Tricia" Harling

October 14, 1956 — December 10, 2025

Highland, IL

Patricia J. “Tricia” Harling, 69, of Highland, IL, a devoted loving mother, cherished grandmother, daughter and dear sister, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her home, surrounded by love.

She was born on October 14, 1956, in Alton, IL, to Warren and Jeannette (nee McDonough) Campbell. On June 10, 1978, she married David Harling at Roxana Church of the Nazarene, Roxana, IL

Patricia was a light in the lives of all who knew her whether that was by Tricia or Patty (a family name that not many were allowed to call her) a heart so full of kindness, strength and unwavering love that it touched everyone she met. Her generosity of time, love and devotion extended not only to her family but also to friends and all who needed a listening ear. Many found comfort in her quiet wisdom, her laughter and the gentle way she made people feel seen and valued.

As a long time member of the Roxana Church of the Nazarene, her faith was a guiding light. She carried cherished memories of church camp, gatherings at the general assembly and Sunday services. She was always ready with a story or two to share, reflecting on the people she loved and the joy of community. Her tales were filled with warmth, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple blessings.

As a wife, she was a steadfast partner; as a mother and grandmother, she nurtured and inspired, shaping the hearts of her children and grandchildren with love, guidance and encouragement. As a daughter and sister, she brought laughter, compassion and unwavering support to her family.

She found joy in the small moments – family meals, quiet conversations, snuggling her pets, Westerns on tv, or a tall cold glass of Pepsi. Her presence was a gift, her love a legacy and her stories a treasure that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Jeannette Campbell.

Patricia is survived by her husband, David Harling, Highland, IL; children, Jason (significant other Marites Gerando) Harling, Tehachipi, CA, Jessica (Brandon) Hogg, Carlyle, IL, Jacob Harling, Highland, IL; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Lucas, Charlotte; siblings, Pam (Allen) Hale; nieces and nephews; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her warmth and generosity.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The ALS Association, www.ALS.org.

She will forever be remembered for her loving heart, her open arms, her stories, and the radiant light she brought to every life she touched.
