Pamela “Pam” S. Atwood, 76, of Mt. Erie, IL. passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her residence.
Pam was born on July 5, 1950, to Charles and Ruth (Yates) Bell in Fairfield, IL. She married Carl Atwood on July 4, 1971, in Mt. Erie, IL, they shared fifty-five years of marriage together.
Pam was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. She cherished the time she spent with her family, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed picking them up from practice and watching all the grandkids’ ballgames or attending their school plays. Pam was a pleasure to be around; she always had an infectious smile and laugh. She will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her. She attended and was a member of the Brown Church near Mt. Erie. Pam was a Deacon of the Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
Pam is survived by her husband Carl Atwood; her daughter Lynnia (Chad) Mayes; six grandchildren Seth (Brileigh) Mayes, Dylan (Brianna) Mayes, Layton (Loren Grace) Atwood, Blake Atwood, Ryan Atwood, and Erick Atwood; eight great grandchildren; daughter-in-law JoAnn Collins; and her stepsister Nancy Meir.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Greg Atwood, three brothers Roy Dale Bell, Chuck Bell, and Steve Bell.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, IL.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 10:00am at the funeral home.
Burial: Will follow in McKendree Cemetery near Mt. Erie, IL.
