Owen Walker Bailey

Owen Walker Bailey, 15, of Cisne, IL. passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL.

Owen was born March 19, 2011 to Ronnie “Ron” Bailey and Charity (Taylor) Bailey in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Owen was a student at Cisne Middle School in Cisne, IL and was a member of the Class of 2026. He enjoyed music and was a member of the Cisne Middle School Junior High Band. He also was teaching himself to play the guitar. He had been on the Flora JR Wolves Football team. He attended Orchardville Church.

 Owen was an outstanding young man. He was very ambitious, respectful of others, and never met a stranger. 

Owen was a member of the Flora Coon Club, National Plott Hound Association, American Plott Hound Association, He earned first place at the youth hunt and was named American Plot Association Youth Hunter of the year. He also won many coon hunts over the past two years and achieved multiple sportsmanship awards.

Owen is survived by his parents Ron and Charity Bailey of Xenia, IL; three sisters - Taylor, Madilyn and Hadley Bailey; his grandparents -Tina Bailey and the late Dennis Bailey, Robbie and Vickey Taylor; his God sent grandpa, Floyd Ledman; uncles - Larry Bailey and Fred (Aunt Cyndi) Paul, Jacob Taylor and his aunt - Hannah Taylor, cousins - Leah Churchhill and Kyler Churchhill.

Owen was preceded in death by his grandfather Dennis Bailey, great grandparents Elman and Donna Bailey, Tom and Mary Paul, Haddie Lester, and his uncle Jimmy Jo Paul.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Orchardville Church 236 County Road 1715, Xenia, IL. Classmates and special friends are requested to congregate at 9:45 at the entrance of the church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Orchardville Church immediately following visitation.

Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery.

Memorial donations honoring Owen may be given to Cisne Middle School Band Department or his family to help with expenses and will be accepted at the church or at the funeral home.
