Opal M. Loflin

Opal M. Loflin (nee Evans), 66, of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

Opal was born February 6, 1947, to Howard and Myrtle (nee Conway) Evans, in St. Louis, MO.  In June 1977, she married Kenneth Loflin in Poplar Bluff, MO.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.   She liked working with her husband in Loflin’s Used Furniture and Appliance Store.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Loflin, Highland, IL; 3 sons, Daniel B. (Sherry) Sickage, Robert Sickage, and Adam Jacob Loflin; 3 grandchildren, Austin Eckert, Daniel Sickage, and Brian Sickage; 2 brothers, John (Diane) Evans, Bob (Mack) Evans; 1 sister, Betty Bryant; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Myrtle (nee Conway) Evans; 1 brother, Walter Evans; 1 sister, Estelle Evans.

Memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.

Visitation:  Friday, November 22, 2013, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Interment:  Oak Grove Cemetery, Charleston, MO.
