Nick E. Gregory

Nick E. Gregory, 83, of Pocahontas, IL, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Normandy Nursing Home, Normandy, MO.

Nick was born November 12, 1933, to Nick and Margaret (Nee Grebenick) Gregory, in E. St. Louis, MO. He married Billie Lee Grego, in 1963.

He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Greenville, IL. He was a member of Laborers Local 100, E. St. Louis, IL. He worked heavy construction on the highway for 35 years. He was a member of E. St. Louis AF & AM, consistory and Ainad Shriners. He was the Crazy Clown for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Margaret Gregory; 1 grandson, Shawn Underwood; 1 step-granddaughter, Katie Jean Clayton.

Nick is survived by 4 children, Jane (John) Underwood, Caseyville, IL, Danny Brock, Caseyville, IL, Nick E. (Carol) Gregory II, Pocahontas, IL, Crystal (Chad) Adams, California; 7 grandchildren, Mia (Mark) Heinz, Grahm (Jen) Underwood, Vanessa (Dale) Hill, Joseph Brock, Nick E. Gregory III, Cory Hanric, James Hanric; 8 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Johnny and Simon Heinz, Spencer and Marlo Underwood, Aaraylyn and Olivia Hill, Emerie Rose Gregory; 1 brother, Gerald (Lisa) Gregory, Caseyville, IL.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 7:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home.
