Neoma M. Gillihan

Neoma M. Gillihan, age 83, passed away on December 17, 2018 at Oakview Manor in Mt. Carmel, IL. She was born June 12, 1935 in Jay, OK to Cecil Johnson and Lucille (Andrews) Johnson. Neoma “Noni” was loved by many and was known for her kindness and infectious laughter. Neoma enjoyed old western movies and reading.

She is survived by one son, Glen Heads of Mt. Carmel; Four sisters: Laverne Johnson of Mt. Carmel, Bonnie Johnson and Cecilia Paris of Crossville, and Diana Parker of Carmi; Three brothers: Buddy Johnson of Mt. Carmel, Earnest Johnson of Carmi, and Richard Johnson of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Neoma was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marilyn Neal; and one brother, Ronnie Johnson.

A private family graveside service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Allendale Cemetery in Allendale, IL.
