Mildred L. Kunz (Nee Wilkening)

Mildred L. Kunz (nee Wilkening), 90, of Highland formerly Lebanon, IL, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

She was born September 9, 1920, to Walter and Anna (nee Fischer) Wilkening, in O’Fallon, IL.  On June 5, 1937, she married Oliver Kunz in Hecker, IL.

Mildred was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Trenton, IL.  She was also a member of the Women’s Guild, Past Matron Emerald Mound Grange, Lebanon Senior Citizens and Home Extension.  She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, family and teaching Sunday school.

She is survived by: 5 Children, Ruth Rockey-Johnson, Rockford, IL, William (Jeanette) Kunz, Rural Trenton, IL, Robert (Phyllis) Kunz, Rural Trenton, IL, Kathleen (Gary) Jascur, Highland, IL, Walter (Dianne) Kunz, Rural Trenton, IL; 14 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by: Her Parents, Walter and Anna Wilkening; Her Husband, Oliver Kunz; 2 Sisters, Ruby Keller, Virginia Smith; 1 Brother, Walter Wilkening.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital or St. John UCC.

Visitation: Friday, November 19, 2010, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, at St. John United Church of Christ, Trenton, IL.

Funeral: Saturday, November 20, 2010, 10:00 a.m., St. John United Church of Christ.
