Michael G. "Mike" Alldredge

Michael G. “Mike” Alldredge, 69, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 2, 1957, in Belleville, IL, to Billie and Peggy (nee O’Neil) Alldredge. On September 25, 1981, he married Beth Ann Schmidt in Marine, IL.

Mike moved to the Edwardsville area in 1970, from East St. Louis, IL, and graduated from Triad High School in 1975. He held many jobs throughout his life, being an over the road trucker for about 12 years, working for RED-E-MIX Concrete in Highland for 10 years, being a heavy machine operator for Schmidt Excavating for 22 years, retiring from there and finally working for about two years for the St. Jacob Township. Mike was also a retired fireman from the Marine Fire Department. He was a Teamster, part of the Local Operators Union #520, and a member of the Moose Club for several years. Mike and his wife, Beth, attend Metro Community Church in Edwardsville, IL.

He had several hobbies including washing his cars, mowing his lawn, wood cutting, and working on anything with an engine. Mike liked to fix things and if he didn’t know how at first, he would work at it until he figured it out. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls, dirt stock car races, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. Mike belonged to a Saturday morning Breakfast Club and him and Beth were part of a lunch group called the Wacky Wednesday Group.

Mike could be stubborn and very particular at times, but he had a heart of gold. A loving, honest, loyal, and hard working man, Mike will be deeply missed by his family and all those who came to know him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Peggy Alldredge; father-in-law, Freemon Schmidt; and brother-in-law, Curt Meyers.

Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beth Ann Alldredge; children, Dustin Michael (Chelsey) Alldredge, Derek Scott (Cayle) Alldredge, and Lindsey Marie (Chris) Wasser; grandchildren, Alyssa & Brody Alldredge, Benett & Cruz Alldredge, and Landry & Briar Wasser; mother-in-law, Betty Schmidt; siblings, Debbie Meyers, Keith (Mary) Alldredge, and Jeff (Jené) Alldredge; brother-in-law, Scott (Sheri) Schmidt; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to The ALS Association or to the Marine Fire Department.
