Meral J. Missey, 73, of Summerfield, IL, died December 26, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was born March 10, 1937 to Wilbur and Bessie (nee Sonsoucie) Missey, in Old Mines, MO.  On August 8, 1958 he married Mary K. Nye, in Belleville, IL.

Meral was a laborer at St. Clair Service Co. in Summerfield, IL for many years.

He is survived by: His Wife, Mary Missey, Summerfield, IL; 5 Children, Debra Jarvis, Nashville, IL, Roger (Kim) Nye, Farmington, MO, Lisa (Martin) Anderson, Lebanon, IL, Melanie (Jesse) Anderson, Summerfield, IL, Darin (Judith) Missey, Summerfield, IL; 3 Sisters, Linda Wagner, Charline (Fritz) Rutherford, Janet (Clarence) Missey; 1 Brother, Mike (Leslie) Missey, Belleville, IL; 17 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Wilbur and Bessie Missey, 1 Daughter, Tammy Bequette, and 2 Sisters, and 5 Brothers.

Visitation: Wednesday, December 29, 2010, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Thursday 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.

Funeral: Thursday, December 30, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Meyer Funeral Home.

Interment: Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, IL.
