Mary Lou Knight, 88, of Grayville, IL passed away on September 4, 2025 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Mary Lou was born June 8, 1937 in Albion, IL to Delbert T. and Cuma B. (Pepperworth) Chapman.

Mary Lou married John Knight on December 24, 1957. They had two sons, Ralph E. Knight and Larry W. Knight. Mary Lou was a housewife and caretaker, working at Rest Haven Manor in Albion. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church.

Mary Lou is survived by her two sons; Ralph Knight of Albion, IL and Larry W. (Melanie) Knight of Grayville, IL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Reid Schroeder of Albion, IL.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband John Knight; a brother Jerry Chapman; and a sister, Joyce Walker.

Services for Mary Lou Knight will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and her funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, IL.
