Mary Christine Backstrom, 69, of New Port Richey, FL passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. She was born October 26, 1955, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Viola (Springer) Martino.
She married Harley Backstrom on August 7, 1976, at Chicago, IL he preceded her in death on February 6, 2016. Mary was a registered nurse.
Mary is survived by one daughter Nicole (Joe) Maulucci, New Port Richey, FL, and one son Lauren Backstrom; six grandchildren; and two sisters Joan Kruger and Laura Dacanay both of IL.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband.
Graveside Service: Will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Cisne Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
