Martin H. “Marty” Davidson

Martin H. “Marty” Davidson, 68, of Bakersfield, MO, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland, IL.

He was born on March 14, 1954, in Evergreen Park, IL, to Richard H. and Dolores F. (nee Geisen) Davidson.

Marty had a love for the outdoors, enjoying four wheeling, fishing, and sitting around the campfire at Cloud 9; his favorite place to go with his family. He was an avid woodworker, building many things. Marty worked construction throughout his life and passed along many of his skills to his family, like how to hang dry wall. He was always there when you needed him; he loved to help others. To know Marty was to love him; he was friendly towards everyone, never meeting a stranger. A good-hearted confident man, known as “Uncle Marty” to family, he will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard H. and Dolores F. Davidson; son, Little Richard Davidson, in infancy; brother, Ernie Davidson; nephew, Tommy DenHartog.

Marty is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann; sisters, Maureen “Moe” (Michael) Miles, Joan “Joannie” (Jay) DenHartog; brother, John (Debbie) Davidson; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
