Marshall Roe, 91, of Lebanon, IL died September 5, at the Lebanon Care Center. He was born in Tower Hill, IL to James and Marietta (Dart) Roe, and they are both deceased. He married Mabel L. Smith June 13, 1946 in West Frankfort, IL, and she preceded him in death November 2, 2004.
He is survived by, one son - Mark (Debra) Roe, Shrewsbury, MO; one daughter - Marsha (Al) Deen, Jacksonville, FL; 3 Grandsons - Gregory (Fiancee Amanda Bacardi) Roe, O'Fallon, MO, Kevin (Heather) Roe, Belleville, IL; Jason Roe, Little Rock, AR; two brothers - James (Lillian) Roe, Dunedin, FL; Fred (Barbara) Roe, Leavenworth, KS; 1 sister - Dorothy Mitchell, West Frankfort, IL.
He was a veteran of the USAF, serving as Master Sergeant and retiring after 31 years. He was a POW, and survived the Bataan Death March. He is a Recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL.
