Margaret Evelyn Brown

MARGARET EVELYN BROWN, 83, of Fairfield, Illinois, went to see the Lord, her husband, family, and friends in heaven on November 12, 2020.

Margaret was born March 5, 1937 in Geff, Illinois to Charles Loren and Elsie Lucille (Pool) Mauck.  She married Lee Roy Brown December 24, 1954 in Geff, Illinois and he preceded her in death October 3, 2014.

Margaret was a grocery store clerk for Food Park and IGA. She served as secretary for Fairfield High School.  She enjoyed cooking and made the best coconut cream pie ever.  She and her husband ran the Hot Biscuit in Cisne.  She was overall a faithful, committed, and wonderful woman.

Margaret is survived by sons Jerry (Pam) Brown of LaHarpe, Illinois, Terry (Carolyn) Brown of Fairfield, Illinois, Stanley (Janice) Brown of Cisne, Illinois and Roger (Lisa) Brown of Albion, Illinois.  Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Lee Roy Brown, two infant sisters Marcella and Carolyn, one brother James (Jim) Mauck, one grandchild and three great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11:30am Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Bestow Cemetery in Geff, Illinois.  Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the family for funeral expenses and will be accepted at the cemetery or may be mailed to Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, P. O. Box 418, Cisne, Illinois, 62823.

Due to Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines, all visitors are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
