Margaret A. Williams

Margaret A. Williams, 89, of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of Ramsey, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon nursing home.

She was born on August 26, 1935, in Marion, IL, to George and Mary (nee Spranghart) Pritchett. On August 15, 1953, she married the love of her life, Virgil E. Williams, in Marion, IL.

Margaret’s greatest pride and joy came from her family. She poured her heart into raising her children, instilling in them the importance of compassion, humility, and perseverance. As her family grew, her love only deepened, and she found immense joy in watching her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even her great-great-grandchild grow. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering devotion created a bond that united them all, making her not just a matriarch, but the cornerstone of the family.

Margaret’s farm was more than just a home; it was the gathering place where her family celebrated holidays, milestones, and quiet afternoons together. She cherished the visits from her loved ones, especially the moments when the house was filled with the laughter of children. Her cooking, her stories, and her gentle presence made every visit special and unforgettable.

Margaret had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved and valued. She was a woman of great faith, finding comfort and strength in her beliefs, and she shared that strength with those around her. Her kindness, patience, and selflessness will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Virgil E. Williams; parents, George and Mary Pritchett; children, Bill Williams, Gary Williams; siblings, Ernest Poole, Bob Poole, George Pritchett, J.C. Pritchett, William Pritchett, Dorothy Borum.

Margaret is survived by her children, Richard Williams, Hank Williams; grandchildren, Gregory, Kelly, Trisha, Gary, Vanessa, Hank Jr., Haley; great-grandchildren, Aspen, Jacob, Cameron, Landon, Joshua, Emily, Abby, Caleb, Ethan, Hank III, Ryder, Estelle; great-grandchild, Everleigh; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Visitation: Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Monday, November 25, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at the Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

Service: Monday, November 25, 2024, 10:00 AM, Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

Interment: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ramsey, IL.
