Marcella G. “Marcie” Stock

Marcella G. “Marcie” Stock, 94, of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Marcie was born on January 30, 1919, in St. Louis, MO, to Jacob Henry and Catherine Louise (nee Tocktrup) Wapelhorst.  On November 20, 1941, she married Joseph Stock in St. Louis, MO.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.  She was owner/operator of Parkway Drive-in, from 1971-1978.  She worked at Jeff’s Drive-in and Wallpapers Ready to Go and Custom Interiors.  Marcie was totally dedicated to her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Jacoby, Highland, IL, Mark (Corinne) Stock, St. Louis, MO, Donald (Michelle) Stock, Edwardsville, IL, John (Karen) Stock, Crested Butte, CO; daughter-in-law Laura Stock, Highland, IL; grandchildren Shandela (Bill) Anderson, Joseph (Tricia) Stock, Justin (Julie) Stock, Jessica (fiance Rich Seiler) Stock, Dylan (fiancée Kayla Weiss) Stock, Cheyenne Stock, Dakota Stock, Adam Jacoby, Trisha (Richard) Seelen, Leah (fiance Michael Rodriguez) Jacoby, Kathryn (Jonathan) Hanak, Mitchell (Karri) Stock, Courtney (Justin) Rapoff, Jayme (Daniel) Lytle, Michael (Susan Sheffield) Stock, Joseph Stock; great grandchildren Mariah Singler, Marlee Singler, Cameron Singler, Anderson Lytle, Cameron Lytle, Ryland Rapoff, Jacob Stock, Aubry Sheffield, Trent Stock, Tatum Stock, Mackenna Stock, Molly Stock, Olivia Seiler; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Catherine Tocktrup; her husband, Joseph T. Stock (October 24, 1975); one son, Joseph M. Stock; one son-in-law William Jacoby (February 12, 2012); two brothers Sylvester Wapelhorst, Greg Wapelhorst; three sisters Elizabeth O’Leary, Margaret Rhoades, Mildred Pointer.

Visitation:  Sunday, April 28, 2013, 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday, April 29, 2013 from 8:00 to 9:30 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Funeral:  Monday, April 29, 2013, at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy:  Rev. Scott Snider, Parochial Vicar, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Interment:  St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Highland, IL.
