Major Charles R. “Rudy” Weber, USA, Retired, 81, of Lebanon, IL died Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at his residence, with his family by his side.

Charles was born July 31, 1938, to James M. and Alice L. (nee Taylor) Weber, in Jackson, Mississippi.  On September 5, 1967, he married Sandra Jo Martin in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt, Germany.

A career US Army officer, Charles was in the Signal Corps and was stationed around the world while he was able to serve his Country.  He and his family moved to Lebanon in 1977 from Heidelberg, Germany.  Following his years in the Armed Services, Charles worked in computer technology that gave further support to the military while working in the civilian business world.

Rudy was Director of the Lebanon Youth Soccer League and was involved in many youth sporting teams through the years.  He was an avid golfer who had many friends and teammates that he considered his “best buds”.  Rudy was a fan of the St Louis Cardinals and Blues, and any SEC related sporting event.  He loved cats and was an exceptional woodworker; making furniture, crown molding and home décor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Jo Weber, Lebanon, IL; children, Melissa Weber, University City, MO, Charles Richard (Amy) Weber, Palm Coast, FL, Michael (Jennifer) Weber, Laurel, MS, Jeffery (Tammie) Weber, Gulfport, MS; grandchildren, Ben Weber, Jonathan Weber, Mary Beth (Tyler) Caldwell, Will Weber, Victoria (Drew) Caves, Nicholas Weber, Karenna Weber, Kollin Maykopet; great grandchildren, Cooper Caldwell, Mason Caldwell; sister, Myrna Lea, Jackson, MS; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Lavonia Weber; brother, John Richard Weber.
