Loretta Fay Royer

Loretta Fay Royer (nee Farris), 66, of Pocahontas, IL, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at her daughters residence in Carlyle, IL, with her family by her side.

She was born June 13, 1945, to Robert and Mildred (nee Taylor) Farris in E. St. Louis, IL.  On December 3, 1960, she married LaVerne Frank Royer in Columbia, IL.

Loretta was a homemaker and also worked as a campground hostess at Hickory Shores Campground.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Royer, Pocahontas, IL; 3 daughters, Peggy Fay (Robert) Oliver, Pocahontas, IL, Brenda Marie (Kenneth) Frerker, Pocahontas, IL, Carla Elizabeth (Bob) Burchett, Carlyle, IL; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Frerker, Alyssa Frerker, Jordan Frerker, Brandi (Jason Zappia) Oliver, Christopher (Angela Tally) Oliver, Carissa (Brian) Handegan, Cassandra Funderburk, Dalton Burchett; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob Tally, Dayton Oliver, Alli Zappia, Sophia Oliver, Bella Zappia; 1 sister, Carol (Charles) Erhardt, Greenville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Farris; 1 brother, Charles Farris; 1 sister, Charlotte Rice.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Funeral: Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
