Linda Knight

Linda L. Knight, 76, of Highland, IL, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Linda was born July 14, 1945, to Raymond and Ruby (nee Nunnery) Hooten, in Camden, TN.  On July 15, 1963, she married Barney Knight in E. St. Louis, IL.

Linda lived in Granite City for 40 years and worked as a Bank Teller at Processors Credit Union for 9 years.  She moved back to the Highland area and has lived here for the past 9 years.   Linda loved to play BINGO and cook when she could.  Spending time with her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she often crocheted items for them.  Her family was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Eric) Hornbostel, and Tami (Robert) Guithues; grandchildren, Robert (Zosia Bober) Guithues, Abbigail (Matthew) Lawton, and William Hornbostel; siblings, Martha Stoffel, Brenda Weymouth, Jerry (Pamba) Hooten; many cherished nieces and nephews and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruby Hooten; husband, Barney Knight; siblings, Robert Hooten, Rebecca Kee, Perry Hooten, Bobby Hooten.

Memorials may be made to the Fisher House.
