Lela A. Harris

Lela A. Harris, nee Ladd, 89 of O'Fallon, IL died May 29, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born in O'Fallon, Il on August 14, 1918 to Levi L. and Ada, nee Bowen, Ladd. She married Claude C. Harris on October 20, 1934 at the Harris Residence in Lebanon, IL, and he survives.

Also survived by one daughter - Kathy Fritz and special friend, Bob Pilkus of O'Fallon, IL; one son - David L. (Donna) Harris of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Jack (Jessica) Fritz - Mascoutah, IL; Deanna (Alfredo)Guzman - Anaheim, CA; Janice Harris, El Cajon, CA; twelve great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, one sister - Pansy Lorraine Cain.

Lela was a homemaker and had worked in her early years at the Lebanon Hat Factory; Battoe's Restaurant, O'Fallon; Buschers Restaurant, and Bernhardt Restaurant in Gillespie, IL.

She was a member of Faith Church, Lebanon, IL.

Visitation: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Meyer Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p,m. and Thursday, June 5th from 11:00 AM to Noon at the Church.

Funeral: Thursday, June 5th 12:00 Noon at Faith Church, 115 N. Madison St. Lebanon, IL with Rev. Don Morgan officiating.
