LAVAIDA ROSANA GUINN

1930-2018

Lavaida (Hockman) Guinn of Springboro, Ohio passed away peacefully the morning of December 24, 2018 and reunited in Heaven for Christmas with her beloved husband, Donald.  She was born in Paxton, IL on April 4, 1930 to Arthur and Nadelle (Trotter) Hockman.  She married Donald Guinn on June 2, 1952.  Before her marriage, she was employed by General Telephone Company in Flora.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Berneita Sampson, of Flora, IL; daughters, Shara Guinn of Springboro, Ohio; Cheryl Luck of Houston, TX; Dona Johnston (husband Douglas) of Garner, NC; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She cherished time with family and during retirement enjoyed traveling many times to Zapata, Texas during the winter months to birdwatch and fish with the love of her life.

The Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Brown Cemetery in Mount Erie. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery. Hosselton-Meredith Funeral Home will be making the arrangements.
