Larry E. Thacker

Larry E. Thacker, 52, of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.

Larry was born April 6, 1963, in Des Moines, IA.

He served in the Marine Corp from 1982 to 1986. He re-upped in the Air Force for 6 more years, serving in Operation Desert Shield/Storm from August 1990 to February 1991.

He was a member of American Legion Post 439, Highland, IL. He was a member of Belleville Enduro Team (B.E.T.) and was an avid motorcycle rider, and loved to watch motorcycle racing as well as NASCAR. Larry loved classic cars and restoring them. He loved spending time with his children fishing, camping and gardening.

Larry is survived by his wife, Stacy Tabor, Highland, IL; children, Tasha Thacker, Cayton Thacker; parents, Jackie (Dane) Meyer, Gladstone, IL; brother, Phillip Thacker, Columbia, MO; step-sister, Casey (Matthew) Robinson, TX; Dennis (Bonnie) Tabor, Highland, IL; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Family for Cayton’s Education.
