Kenneth Eugene Martin

Kenneth Eugene Martin, 75, of West Salem, Illinois passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at his residence.

Kenneth was born on February 4, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Lillian (Satre) Martin. He served our country in the United States Army from 1970-1972. He married Mary Jane Fishel in 1978 and they had many happy years together. He was a member of American Legion Post 590 and the Eagles in Olney, Illinois. He enjoyed NASCAR, hot rods and 4 x 4’s, football, and sitting on the front porch with his fur baby Maggie. He had a deep love for his grandchildren and family.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Jane Martin; their children Kenneth Allen Martin, Eric Eugene (Leeann) Martin, Walter Lee Martin, Melanie Diane (Eli) Landingham, and Tiffany Jo (Aaron) Hibner; 11 grandchildren Samantha, Race, Trent, Wyatt, Chassis, Blake, Tucker, Trey, Zaine, Ziva, and Zaylee; and a sister, Linda.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and a grandson, Jarett Martin in 2004.

Funeral Services for Kenneth E. Martin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Moravian Church in West Salem, Illinois. Burial will take place in the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Kenneth E. Martin can be made to the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois or to the Wabash General Hospital Stuart W. Hipsher Cancer & Infusion Center, located in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
