Judith A. “Judy” Lindley (Nee Stewart), 72, of Pocahontas, IL, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side.

Judy was born February 5, 1942, to Melvin “Jake” and Henrietta (Nee Long) Stewart, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL. On July 15, 1961, she married Ronald Lindley, in Pocahontas, IL.

Judy was the Praise and Worship Leader at Cross of Victory Church and a member of Royal Neighbors. She loved God with all of her heart and she served Him faithfully her whole life. She loved her husband and family and loved having all of them over, especially the grandchildren. She loved to vacation in the mountains and to see the ocean.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Lindley, Pocahontas, IL; 3 daughters, Sheri (Dale) Compton, Pocahontas, IL, Christine (Bill) Linnabary, Mulberry Grove, IL, Julie (Israel) Vargas, Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren, Eric (Tiffany) Compton, Lindsay, Rachel, Leah Compton, Jill (fiancé Dreux Perkins) Knox, Eric, Jacob, Joseph Linnabary, Israel Daniel and Joshua Vargas; 1 great-grandchild, Aiden Linnabary; 2 sisters, Sharon (Dale) Lindley, Pocahontas, IL, Shelley (Brian) Brown, Greenville, IL; 2 aunts, Martha Gene Miles and Belinda (Richard) Lachler; 1 uncle, Robert Long; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Henrietta Stewart; 1 brother, Larry Eugene Stewart at birth.

Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice or Cross of Victory Church.

Visitation: Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, November 5, 2014, from8:00 to 11:00 am at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Funeral: Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 11:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
