Juanita Virginia McCorkle, 96, of Browns, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at her home.
Juanita was born on April 10, 1930 in Crossville, Illinois to Henry and Violet (Hatcher) Garner. She married James “Jim” McCorkle on February 27, 1949 in Grayville, Illinois and they enjoyed over 77 years of marriage.
Juanita was a member of the Browns United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Enterprise Household Science Club and the Crossville Alumni Association. She enjoyed her flower garden, crocheting and quilting. She loved to oil paint the outdoors and scenes around the area. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Jim; their sons Terry (Kelly) McCorkle and Kevin (Janette) McCorkle; daughter-in-law Ramona McCorkle; grandchildren Michelle, Samantha and Bobby; and great grandchildren Nathan, Wyatt, Hayden, Ernie and Sara.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mike McCorkle in 2004; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon; two sisters Ella Mae Clark and Betty Lou Stabler; and three brothers Henry C. Garner, Charles Frank Garner, and John Richard Garner.
Visitation for Juanita McCorkle will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Burial will follow at Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville, Illinois.
