Joyce Kandlbinder

Joyce A. Kandlbinder, 81, of Ferguson, MO, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Caseyville Nursing Home in Caseyville, IL.

She was born on February 4, 1944, in St. Louis, MO, to Lambert and Dorothy (nee Noell) McMillen.

Joyce was a gentle and loving woman whose life was defined by kindness, patience, and devotion to her family. She found joy in the quiet comforts of home—tending to her garden, watching her favorite soap operas, and, most of all, crocheting beautiful afghans that wrapped her family, grandchildren, and friends in both warmth and love. Each stitch reflected her selfless heart and generous spirit. Sweet, thoughtful, and endlessly caring, Joyce absolutely adored her family and showed it in countless everyday ways. Her love lives on in the memories she created and the many hands and hearts she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Dorothy McMillen; loving husband, James H. Kandlbinder; children, Tom Kandlbinder, Jamie Lee.

Joyce is survived by her children, Bonita (Larry) Loyet, Patty (Jim) Carril, Judy Kandlbinder; grandchildren, Ray Carril, Zach Carril, Ben Carril, Stewart Lee, Joe Lee, Whitney Kandlbinder, Ally Weir, Bradley Kandlbinder; great-grandchildren, Vivyan Weir, Grayson Weir, Brenden Weir, Finn Weir, Everly Kandlbinder, Wesley Carril, Sonny Carril; siblings, Linda Ott, Bill McMillen, Bob McMillen, David McMillen, Carol Sholy; nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, in Collinsville, IL.

Interment: Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
