John Taylor

John Taylor, 45, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.

John was born November 11, 1966, to Raymond and Shirley (nee Hager) Taylor, in Hannibal, MO.  On May 21, 1988 he married Sarah Cunningham, in Center, MO.

John attended Highland Hope United Methodist Church, Highland, IL.  He was active in Boy Scouts, serving as Assistant Scout Master for Troop 40.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Taylor, Highland, IL; his parents, Raymond and Shirley Taylor, Center, MO; 2 children, Rachael (fiancé Swade Hammond) Taylor, North Dakota, John Austin Taylor, Highland, IL; 3 sisters, Karen (Kelly) Whitley, Atlanta, MO, Sheri Baughman, Springfield, IL, Lori (Kevin) Lane, Holts Summit, MO; several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Highland Hope United Methodist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL, and Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at James O’Donnell Funeral Home, 5 ^th and Lyons Streets, Hannibal, MO 63401

Funeral: Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at James O’Donnell Funeral Home.

Interment: Center Cemetery, Center, MO.
