John F. Walter, 88, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his residence.

John was born July 26, 1925, to Robert and Elsie (nee Lorenz) Walter in Highland, IL.

He was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL, and was self-employed as a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elsie Walter.
