Jeffrey Alan Carlson

Jeffrey Alan Carlson, 65, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Illinois.

Jeff was born on January 10, 1961 in Fairfield, Illinois to Charles and Patricia (Walker) Carlson. He grew up in the Edwards County area, attending West Salem Grade School and Edwards County High School. He worked as an auto body technician and loved to be in the garage, working on cars. He enjoyed playing softball and watching his kids play softball and baseball. He really enjoyed tricking people and was a jokester! He never met a stranger and will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving is his father, Charles Carlson; his significant other, Bethany Jones; his children Curtis (Jennifer) Carlson, Jeffrey Tyce Carlson, Taner (Kelcy) Carlson, Jozie Carlson, Jaxon Carlson, and Gunar Carlson; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Rick Carlson.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Patricia; a sister, Melinda Carlson; an infant brother; and his son, Brody Carlson.

Visitation for Jeffrey Carlson will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in West Salem, Illinois. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Cemetery, West Salem, Illinois. Casual dress is requested.
