Jean Jo-Ellen Kreisel

Jean Jo-Ellen Kreisel, 87, of Fairfield, IL passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Jean was born June 30, 1934, to William and Elizabeth (Stevenson) Waite in Haven, KS.  She married Herbert L. ‘Herb’ Kreisel June 23, 1951, in Sedalia, MO.

Jean was a creative and talented homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening with Herb, sewing, quilting, crafts and family time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her husband Herb Kreisel of Fairfield, IL; two daughters Tammy (Mike) Waller of Citrus Springs, FL, and Ronda (Lee) Klier of Newton, IL; five grandchildren Robyn Cook, Carrie Newman, Ryan Dulaney (Eric Wachter), Trichia Yates, and Kali Hurd and five great grandchildren Chloe, Katherine and Alexa Newman, Anna and Ashley Cook, and Ashton Robertson.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Brandon Waller, and two brothers William Keith Waite and Charles Duane Waite.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 5:00pm-6:00pm at Hosselton Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, IL.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 6:00pm at Hosselton Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, IL.

Burial will be on Monday, May 2, 2022, in Sweet Springs, MO.

Memorials may be made given to SSM Hospice of Illinois, in Mt. Vernon, IL and may be accepted at the funeral home.
