Janice R. Grice

Janice R. Grice, 72, of Lebanon, IL, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

She was born on June 2, 1953, in West Point, MS, to James and Etta Mae (nee Reed) Edwards. On June 20, 1975, she married Willie Grice, in West Point, MS.

Janice was a member of the Garden City Church, in Shiloh, IL. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very generous with her time, always wanting to help everyone. Janice loved to joke and be goofy at times. She loved the Lord. Janice enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, cooking and spending time with her church group. She loved to travel and loved seafood.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Edwards; husband, Willie Grice; sisters, Victoria “Vicky” Edwards, Monica Edwards.

Janice is survived by her mother, Etta Mae Sykes, Fort Wayne, IN; son, William (Kara) Grice, Florissant, MO; grandchildren, Kamdyn & Zuri Grice; sisters, Doris White, Sarah Jack, Paulette Tolliver, Delcenia “Del” (Luis) Castillo; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL. Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, at Garden Citty Church, Shiloh, IL

Service: Saturday, June 13, 2026, 12:00 pm, at Garden City Church, Shiloh, IL.

Interment: Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO.
