Janet Lee Buffington

JANET LEE BUFFINGTON, 72, of Olney, Illinois, formerly of the Clay City and Louisville areas, passed away at her home September 13, 2020.

Janet was born July 20, 1948 to Norman and Lela (Jennings) Smith in Salem, Illinois.

Janet served her local community for many years in the Home Health Care Field. Her hobbies included gardening, crafts, sewing, crochet. She loved all kinds of animals. She was of the Christian Faith.

Janet is survived by one son Rick Buffington of Clay City, Illinois; one daughter Rebecca Buffington of Olney, Illinois; three granddaughters, Sierra  Buffington, Autumn  Buffington, and Andrea  Buffington and one sister Judy Gruenewald, of Louisville, Illinois.

Preceding Janet in death were her parents, a son Everet Lee Buffington and also one brother Norman Wesley Smith .

Funeral service will be held on  Friday September, 18, 2020 at 2 pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne.  Visitation will be from noon to 2 pm. at the funeral home in Cisne, burial will follow at Bunker Cemetery.
